KR Market is the Oldest and Bangalore’s first market. KR Market is one of the most modern markets in the country. The building was constructed at a cost of Rs 5 crore, has a cold storage room, lift and drainage system to wash vegetables. Sadly, no one has been utilizing these facilities. The cold storage has been under lock and key for the past many years. The three-storey building has 22 shell roofs and is designed in such a way that sunlight reaches every nook and cranny of the building.The structure has a garbage shoot facility from the time the building was established in 1997. In fact, a refrigeration system was also installed to prevent any foul odor, in case of a delay in transporting the muck.
