Hosahalli belongs to H.D. Kote taluk which is 80kms from Mysore. It is situated on the bank of the river kabini. Kabini Forest Reserve is one of the most popular wildlife destinations of Karnataka, probably because of its accessibility, lush green landscape surrounding a large lake, and sightings of herds of elephants. Its better to travel in own vehicle.
We can spot more number of wild animals on the bank of the river on the opposite side. For photography freaks its good to have a good camera with a better zoom lens to capture some real wildlife. The best time to visit the place is evening and you will get to witness an amazing sunset.
